Low Glycemic No Added Sugar Chocolate Silk Pie Recipe Using Stevia Sweetener

Serves: 10
Carbs Per Serving: 4.5g
Prep Time:<45>

Skill Level: Easy

Crust:
1 cup ground almonds
1/2 cup soy protein powder
2 teaspoon
Fructevia, Steviva Brand Stevia Blend or a tiny dash of Steviva Brand Stevia Powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
6 tablespoons butter, room temperature

Filling:
3 ounces (squares) unsweetened baking chocolate
3/4 cup butter, room temperature
1/4 cup
Fructevia, Steviva Brand Stevia Blend
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
3 eggs

Topping:
1 cup whipping cream
1 teaspoon
Fructevia, Steviva Brand Stevia Blend or a tiny dash of Steviva Brand Stevia Powder!

Crust instructions: Combine well with a pastry blender or food processor and press into pie pan. Bake 5 minutes at 450° F. Cool completely before adding filling. Filling instructions: Break chocolate and place in a small saucepan over lowest possible heat. Stirring constantly, warm chocolate until almost completely melted. Remove from heat and continue to stir until thoroughly melted. Cool chocolate.

Since the eggs won’t be cooked, coddle eggs: Fill a small sauce pan about half-full. Bring water to boiling, then place eggs in boiling water for 20 seconds. Remove eggs from water and immerse in cold water to stop them from continuing to cook. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl with an electric mixer cream butter, Fructevia, Steviva Brand Stevia Blend or Steviva Brand Stevia Powder on medium speed about 1 minute. Add chocolate and vanilla, mixing until combined. Continue mixing and beat in eggs one at a time for 5 minutes each. Total mixing time for egg mixture will be 15 minutes. Pour into pie shell. Chill at least 4 hours to set.

Topping instructions: Whip cream in a small mixing bowl with an electric mixer until peaks form. Add Fructevia, Steviva Brand Stevia Blend or Steviva Brand Stevia Powder and whip till combined. Spread on chilled pie. Sliver chocolate with a vegetable peeler. Garnish pie with chocolate curls. Enjoy!

On a nice sunny day like today was for us, I like to take an afternoon break with a tall glass of iced Chai Tea. Chai's roots come from the 5,000 year old Indian Science of Ayurveda, healing with food.

You'll find that the ingredients in Chai are used to promote healing and strengthen various parts of the body.

  • Cinnamon strengthens the blood and teeth. Ceylon Cinnamon is soft and light tan colored. Hard, red-brown cinnamon is actually Cassia Bark. Has a real strong flavor. Use what is available to you and adjust the recipe accordingly.

  • Cloves stimulate the appetite.
  • Cardamom opens the nerves, helps digestion.
  • Ginger strengthens the nerves, circulation.
  • Tea catalyzes the spices. Opens the lungs, circulation, anti-oxidant. Lots of new research!

Low Glycemic Sugar Free Apricot and Walnut Chutney Recipe Made with Stevia

Serves: 75+
Carbs Per Serving: 4.65 g
Prep Time:<55 minutes
Skill Level: Easy

This chutney is great with cheese, poultry, pork and even fish like salmon. The walnuts provide the Omega 3 and the apricots are low in sugar yet high in vitamin C. This is a lot of chutney so... you can freeze it, can it or give it to friends. Spread the joy.

Ingredients:
3 lbs Apricots
2 cups
Fructevia or Steviva Brand Stevia Blend or 1/4 teaspoon of Steviva Brand Stevia Powder mixed with 2 cups of applesauce
8 oz dried raisins
1 lb Onions; peeled, chopped fine
2 teaspoons Salt
1 1/2 pint Cider vinegar
1 teaspoon mustard
2 Garlic cloves -- peeled, crushed
1/2 teaspoon powdered allspice
8 oz Walnuts very roughly chopped
2 Oranges (rind only)

Instructions:
Split and stone the fresh apricots and chop roughly. Boil the chopped onions for a few moments to soften them, otherwise you always seem to get a few hard bits. Drain. Put all the ingredients except the walnuts into a large preserving pan and bring to the boil. Turn down the heat and cook gently, stirring regularly, for 1 1/2 hours until the mixture is thick and jammy. Stir in the walnuts. Put into in warm sterilized jars or freeze.
